Before moving to London in 2009 I worked as a visual artist creating live art in Museums and galleries internationally. I moved to London to study filmmaking expecting to learn new techniques that would enrich my work as a visual artist. I fell in love with filmmaking and today my main working medium is film.
I’m interested in making films that show social problems and human rights issues through a different lens to that of journalism. I believe that there are many possibilities through which to approach documentary and make innovative films.
Through reconstruction and animation, the filmmaker is able to cast new light on real events. Due to my background in visual and fine arts, my films are embedded in visual aesthetics and I not only work with stories but with concepts.
